DOVE Africa has nearly 70 congregations in the nations of Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and a new church plant in India. Kenya is divided into four regions: Ukambani, Kitale, Kisumu and Nairobi; while Uganda, Rwanda and India form their own regions.
Kenya Regions
In Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, you will find the “original” DOVE church plant (DOVE Kilimani) among several newer congregations in the area. The Nairobi office also serves as the coordinating office for DCFA.
Approximately one hour southeast of Nairobi lies the Ukambani Region, which includes 13 congregations spread throughout the Ukambani District of Kenya.
The largest concentration of DOVE churches is found in the Kitale Region, Kitale town being 250 miles northwest of Nairobi. These churches are divided into several districts, with each district having a team leader. Most of these churches are rural villages and are quite small in number.
Pastors from DOVE Nairobi, Hesbone & Violet Odindo, currently serve as church planters in the Kisumu Region, in Western Kenya. The church planted in January 2007 is thriving under the leadership of this godly couple.
Uganda Region
Neighboring Kenya to the west is the country of Uganda; a lovely land of development and promise. Ephraim and Jova Tumusiime are the Apostolic leaders of DOVE Uganda whose congregations are spread out across the entire nation.
Rwanda Region
Still further west, you will find two DOVE churches in Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda. The Rwandese are enthusiastic in dance and love to sing before their God. Though the nation of Rwanda is in a time of rebuilding and development after the devastation of genocide in 1994, they do have a vision to reach other nations such as the Congo, DRC and Burundi. Pastor Levis Kagigi heads the work of DOVE Rwanda.
India Region
Members from DOVE Nairobi, Philip and Kerina Omondi, serve as church planters in Mysore which is in the southern part of India about three hours from Bangalore. Their outreach to the student ministry in Mysore largely comprises DOVE India.
