During the past two decades, DCFI has sent hundreds of short and long term missionaries to the nations. Presently, there are two DOVE Mission International sending centers, one located in Pennsylvania, USA and another located in Nairobi, Kenya. DOVE Africa has seven persons who are currently or have previously been on the mission field. We thank the Lord for the favor He has given us and for those who have dedicated themselves to missions work from among our churches as well as in the communities of the unreached people groups of East Africa.
We thank God for the DOVE Africa missionaries who are impacting communities and tribes through love and service. The desire of DOVE Africa is that each missionary have several partners around the world that “adopt” them. This can be done through letters, phone calls, provisions or financial support.

Metrine Sabari - Wajir, Kenya
Summary: Metrine Sabari, sent by Weyolola DCF, reports a major change in the spiritual atmosphere of the region. Resistance to the move of God during 2006 was so intense in Wajir that a young convert to Christianity was stoned and left for dead by fellow classmates in his school. Metrine, who had led this young Muslim to Christ, along with nearly ten other missionaries were advised to leave the town because of threats on their lives. But Metrine decided to just stay very quiet and try to be unnoticed, at least until the "dust settled."
Since then, the government of Kenya has come to the defense of freedom of religion, keeping the harassment meted out to Christians in check. Metrine explains that as she shares with friends one-on-one, they show a lot of interest in hearing about her faith, which was not the case in previous years.
Birthday: 29 August
Needs: Financial Provision
Prayer Requests: Continued wisdom to foster the relationships she has built.
Amos & Grace Mulwa - Garissa, Kenya
Summary: Amos and Grace started and manage Zawani Academy, a primary school among the Malakote tribe. They implement and assist in many community development projects in this area as they simply show the love of God in this Islamic community. In the 2006 flood (see details), the entire village of 250 homes was destroyed, and the villagers were forced to relocate. However, the school and the chief's office withstood the floods, and were used even in this time of crisis. In 2007, the Malakote chief offered to give nearly 100 acres of land that belongs to the tribe to Amos and Grace for another school, a medical center, some horticultural training, as well as other projects! The title deed for this property is now being processed.
